مہمان ٹیم نے آخری میچ میں 67 رنز کے بھاری مارجن سے قومی ٹیم کو شکست دے کر سیریز میں 3-4 سے کامیابی حاصل کی۔ واضح رہے کہ پاکستان کو پہلی مرتبہ ٹی ٹوئنٹی فارمیٹ میں ہوم گراؤنڈز پر شکست کا سامنا کرنا پڑا ہے۔ قذافی اسٹیڈیم میں کھیلے جارہے سیریز کے فیصلہ کن میچ میں انگلینڈ نے پاکستان کو جیت کے لیے 210 رنز کا ہدف دیا تھا۔
ہدف کے تعاقب میں قومی بیٹنگ لائن ابتدا میں ہی مشکلات کا شکار ہوگئی، اوپنرز بابر اعظم اور محمد رضوان صرف 5 رنز پر پویلین لوٹ گئے۔ بابر اعظم نے 4 اور محمد رضوان صرف ایک رن بناسکے، دونوں کو بالترتیب کرس ووکس اور ریس ٹوپلے نے آؤٹ کیا۔ افتخار احمد اور شان مسعود نے 28 رنز کی شراکت بنائی جو افتخار کے آؤٹ پر ختم ہوگئی، انہوں نے 16 گیندوں پر 19 رنز کی اننگز کھیلی، انہیں ڈیوڈ وِلی نے کیچ آؤٹ کروایا۔

ایک گیند بعد گزشتہ میچ کے ہیرو فل سالٹ رن آؤٹ ہوگئے اور انگلینڈ کی ٹٰم 39 پر ہی دونوں اوپنرز سے محروم ہوگئی تھی۔ ایسے میں ڈاؤڈ ملان کا ساتھ نوجوان بلے باز بین ڈکِٹ نے دیا، دونوں کے درمیان 62 رنز کی زبردست پارٹنر شپ بنی۔ تاہم دسویں اوور کی پانچویں گیند پر محمد رضوان نے ناقابلِ یقین رن آؤٹ کرکے بین ڈکٹ کو پویلین لوٹا دیا، انہوں نے 30 رنز بنائے تھے۔ اس کے بعد چوتھی وکٹ پر ڈاؤڈ ملان اور ہیری بروک سیہ پلائی دیوار بن گئے، دونوں نے ناقابلِ شکست 108 رنز کی پارٹنر شپ بنا کر ٹیم کا اسکور 209 رنز تک پہنچاڈالا۔
واضح رہے کہ خراب فیلڈنگ کی وجہ سے انگلینڈ کے بلے بازوں کو ایک نہیں بلکہ کیچ چھوٹنے کی وجہ سے تین مزید مواقع ملے جن کا انہوں نے بڑا اسکور بنانے کے لیے بھرپور فائدہ اٹھایا۔ تین میں سے انگلینڈ کے دو کھلاڑی رن آؤٹ ہوئے جبکہ محمد حسنین وکٹ لینے والے واحد بولرز تھے۔ ان کے علاوہ حارث رؤف وکٹ تو نہ لے سکے لیکن 4 اوورز میں صرف 24 رنز دے کر قابلِ ذکر بولر رہے۔ دونوں ٹیموں کے درمیان سیریز 3-3 سے برابر ہے، آج کے میچ کی فاتح ٹیم ٹرافی کی حقدار ہوگی۔
ٹاس کے موقع پر گفتگو کرتے ہوئے پاکستانی کپتان بابر اعظم نے کہا کہ اپنے کراؤڈ کے سامنے کھیلنا اچھا لگتا ہے، یہ کافی عرصے سے اس سیریز کا انتظار کر رہے تھے اور اہم یہ جیتنا چاہتے ہیں۔ انگلینڈ کے کپتان معین علی کا کہنا تھا کہ وہ اگر ٹاس جیت جاتے تو پہلے بولنگ ہی کرتے۔ انہوں نے کہا کہ وہ آسٹریلیا میں ورلڈکپ کے اس میچ میں مارک ووڈ کو کھلانے کا رسک نہیں لیا۔ آخری ٹی ٹوئنٹی مقابلے کے لیے پاکستان کرکٹ ٹیم میں 4 تبدیلیاں کی گئی ہیں جہاں محمد رضوان، خوشدل شاہ، حارث رؤف اور محمد حسنین کی فائنل الیون میں واپسی ہوئی۔

The visiting team defeated the national team by a huge margin of 67 runs in the last match and won the series 3-4. It should be noted that for the first time Pakistan has faced defeat at home grounds in the T20 format. In the deciding match of the series being played at Gaddafi Stadium, England had given Pakistan a target of 210 runs to win.
Chasing the target, the national batting line-up struggled early on, with openers Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan returning to the pavilion for just 5 runs. Babar Azam managed 4 and Mohammad Rizwan just one, both dismissed by Chris Woakes and Rhys Topley respectively. Iftikhar Ahmed and Shaan Masood made a partnership of 28 runs which ended with the dismissal of Iftikhar, he played an innings of 19 runs off 16 balls, he was caught out by David Willey.
Batting first, the England team scored 209 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. In this match being played at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore, national team captain Babar Azam won the toss and invited England to bat first. Alex Hales and Phil Salt once again gave England a confident start. A partnership of 39 runs was formed between the two which was broken by Mohammad Hasnain by getting Hales out lbw.
One ball later, Phil Salt, the hero of the previous match, was run out and England's team lost both openers on 39. In such a situation, Dowd Malan was supported by the young batsman Ben Duckitt, and between the two, a great partnership of 62 runs was formed. However, on the fifth ball of the 10th over, Muhammad Rizwan made an unbelievable run-out and returned Ben Duckett to the pavilion, he had scored 30 runs. Then, for the fourth wicket, Dawood Malan and Harry Brooke Sihpilai Dewar became the wall, both of them put on an unbeaten partnership of 108 runs to take the team's score to 209 runs.
It should be noted that due to poor fielding, the England batsmen got not one but three more chances due to missed catches which they took full advantage of to make a big score. Two of the three England players were run out while Mohammad Hasnain was the only bowler to take a wicket. Apart from him, Haris Rauf could not take a wicket but remained a remarkable bowler by giving only 24 runs in 4 overs. The series between the two teams is tied at 3-3, the winner of today's match will be entitled to the trophy.
Speaking on the occasion of the toss, Pakistan captain Babar Azam said that it feels good to play in front of his crowd, they have been waiting for this series for a long time and most importantly they want to win it. England captain Moeen Ali said that if he had won the toss, he would have bowled first. He said that he did not take the risk of feeding Mark Wood in this World Cup match in Australia. 4 changes have been made in the Pakistan cricket team for the last T20 where Mohammad Rizwan, Khushdil Shah, Haris Rauf and Mohammad Hasnain returned to the final XI.
