شاہد آفریدی نے اگلے ٹیسٹ میچ میں محمد رضوان کو ریسٹ دینے کا مشورہ دے دیا

نجی ٹی وی چینل کو انٹرویو دیتے ہوئے سابق کپتان اور مایہ ناز آلراؤنڈر شاہد خان آفریدی نے کہا کہ میں نے بھی سنا ہے کہ محمد رضوان نے کئی دفعہ خواہش کا اظہار کیا ہے کہ مجھے ٹیسٹ میں بطور اوپنر کھیلنے دیا جائے اور ان کو انگلینڈ کے خلاف ملتان ٹیسٹ میچ میں موقع دیا گیا۔شاہد آفریدی نے کہا کہ اصل میں ہوتا یہ ہے کہ اگر اوپنر نہ ہو تو تیسرے نمبر والا کھلاڑی بطور اوپنر اوپننگ کرتا ہے،جب ایک پلیئر پرفامنس دکھاتا ہے تو وہ سپر اسٹار بن جاتا ہے اور اپنی بات منوانا شروع کر دیتا ہےکہ میں یہاں نہیں یہاں کھیلوں گا۔

شاہد آفریدی نے مزید کہا کہ ایسی صورتحال میں کوچ کا کردار بہت اہم ہے کہ وہ کسی کھلاڑی کو منفرد لے کر چلنا چاہتا ہے یا پھر بطور ٹیم پلیئر ہی، میرا خیال ہے کہ فیصلہ وہ ہونا چاہیے جو ٹیم کیلئے بہتر ہو نہ کہ کسی کو فیور دی جائے، کسی بھی بلے باز کی ناکامی کا سوال بیٹنگ کوچ سے ہی کیا جائے گا۔
